In this course, we will continue our study of "Phytochemistry", focusing on two important groups of phytochemicals with numerous pharmaceutical applications: "Glycosides" and "Alkaloids". We will cover their definitions, biosynthetic pathways, classifications, distributions, methods of extraction, isolation, and purification, as well as their pharmaceutical uses, supported by relevant examples.
