Pharmacognosy is the scientific study of crude drugs obtained from natural sources such as plants, animals, and microorganisms. This course introduces students to the identification, classification, cultivation, and evaluation of natural drugs, including their morphological and microscopic characteristics, active constituents, and medicinal uses. It provides foundational knowledge essential for pharmacy students in understanding natural medicines and their role in healthcare.
